Policies
 

Shipping Policy

All U.S. orders will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail and will include insurance.

International and Overseas orders will be shipped via USPS using International Global Priority mail. If insurance is desired, orders will ship via either Express Mail, or Air Mail. Shipping options will be provided to International orders during the order confirmation process.

Overseas orders may be subject to import duty and custom taxes that are your responsibility. Please familiarize yourself with these regulations so you can receive your item quickly and efficiently, once it has arrived in your country.

Shipping times are based on payment method from the time of receipt:

  • Money orders normally 48 hours or 2 Business Days
  • Credit Card orders normally 48 hours or 2 Business Days
  • Traveler's Checks normally 48 hours or 2 Business Days
  • Personal checks normally 8 business days once the check clears

Items valued over $300 must be shipped using registered or comparable mail if international. This cost will be included in the shipping and handling price.

 

Guarantee

Every attempt has been made to give an accurate description and photograph of each item. And we encourage you to write or call us with questions before you place your order. We are sure you will be happy with your order but in those rare circumstances you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return the item using the following guidelines:

  • We are notified immediately, as soon as you receive the item by phone at 603-673-9004 or email me. I will confirm acceptance of the return.
  • A return request must be made within 24 hours of the receipt of the item.
  • Returned items must be returned in exactly the same condition they were in when initially shipped.
  • The item must be returned using the same shipping method it was originally sent within 3 days of approval confirmation so it will be returned within 7 days from the time you received the item.
  • The returned item must be insured for the full amount and have delivery confirmation. This is your responsibility. Until we receive the item, you are liable for the cost and the item.
  • Refunds are issued within 3 Business days of receipt in good condition.
  • There are no returns or refunds on any Layaway purchase.
  • Due to Customs fees, we do not accept returns on International purchases. Therefore, the sale is complete when the purchased items are delivered to the customer, customer's agent, or Customs Agency. Delivery itself finalizes the sale.

 

Refunds

  • A 15% - 20% restocking fee will be charged on any accepted returns and will be deducted from the refund. A restocking fee is frequently charged to compensate for additional bookkeeping and lost sales opportunity while it was out of the store.
  • Refunds are issued immediately within 3 days upon receipt of an accepted return in the same condition as it was received in.
  • Refunds are given for the price of the item, less the restocking fee, and less postage.
  • There are no refunds on items purchased by Layaway.
  • There are no refunds on items damaged in shipping. In that case, you must file a claim with USPS. Do not return the item to Vintage Jewelry Online. This will cancel out the USPS insurance. Contact us immediately and we will help you. You need to retain all original packaging and all pieces of the damaged item and take them to the USPS to file a claim. Vintage Jewelry Online will process the claim once we hear from the USPS.
  • There are no returns or refunds on international orders.

 

Condition

Our goal at Vintage Jewelry Online is to offer items of distinctive design in the best possible condition whether you are beginning or advanced collector.

Excellent condition does not mean mint. If an item has been used, it will generally have at least subtle or normal signs of wear. A piece of vintage jewelry is still old and more fragile than a new one.

Collectors of antique and vintage jewelry are often willing to live with a few minor flaws in order to obtain qualities lacking in modern mass-produced goods.

The condition of each item is described in the listing and we try hard to be as accurate as possible. If you have any questions or want clarification, please call me, Shelley at 603-673-9004.

We use the following definitions to help grade the jewelry.

  • Excellent - Almost new condition, no noticeable flaws, or only subtle signs of wear, i.e., normal plating wear from laying against clothing or part of the original production process, like some Bakelite carving may be rough.
  • Very Good - Few minimal signs of wear or aging. Flaws will be considered normal due to aging, as a darkened stone, or minor wear on a gold-filled Victorian bracelet dating to 1880.
  • Good - Obvious signs of wear and aging and these will be described in the item description.

Most of the items shown on Vintage Jewelry Online will be rated either EXCELLENT or VERY GOOD. Items identified as GOOD will be offered because the design is so outstanding, or the piece is so rare and it was unfortunate enough to have a noticeable flaw. These items will be priced accordingly.

 

Privacy

Vintage Jewelry Online does not sell or share the information you provide us with any 3rd party company or institution.

We collect the necessary contact information to process your order including email address and telephone number in case we need to reach you. Email will always be the first form of contact should we need to contact you.

If you choose to sign up for the Contact Us list to hear about new announcements or additions to Vintage Jewelry Online, we will gladly add you to our list. You can also submit a "wish list" of items so we can notify you when we find those too.

Should you ever no longer wish to receive announcement updates, please email me and I will remove your name from the announcement list.

 

Misprints, Errors & Disclaimers

While we make every effort to ensure the information on our website is current and accurate, misprints or other errors may occur. As such, we reserve the right to change prices, fees and charges of the products and services available through our website at any time, without notice or liability.

We cannot guarantee that products advertised on the web site will be available as these are one of kind pieces of jewelry and collectibles. All prices and availability are subject to verification by Vintage Jewelry Online during the order confirmation process. We reserve the right to limit quantities sold if multiple items exist.

We also reserve the right to reject, correct, cancel or terminate any order
